Our Story
| WHAT ATTRACTED BEN TO SHERRIE:
The first couple of times that we met we were playing games with friends. I really enjoy being around friends and playing games, and I saw that she was fun to be with and very social. I have always thought of her as very pretty. After we had met a few times, we spent an evening just talking and getting to know each other. She was very fun to talk to, and I enjoyed listening to her tell me about growing up. She had different background than me and my friends. I really liked that she grew up in a different part of the country. I liked that she came from a good family, and shared the same family values that I have. |
WHAT ATTRACTED SHERRIE TO BEN:
The first thing that attracted me to my husband was his eye color, but it wasn’t too long after I met him, before I learned of what kind of person he was. I saw how he was with his family and how he treated his mom with such love and respect, which I really liked. I also saw a person who was head strong and motivated. Whenever he sets his mind to do something he does it and if he doesn’t know how to do it he learns how to do it. He is also very smart, hard working and loving. I just knew that this was a person I wanted to always be around and to spend the rest of my life with him. |
TOGETHER:
We are Benjamin and Sherrie and have been married for six wonderful years. We are a happy, motivated couple and are very excited to add children to our family. We are well established, live in a comfortable home in a good area, and are ready to be parents. We met in October of 2001 while we were both living in Orem, UT. We were at a friend’s house playing games and Ben had lent his car out to a friend to use, so since we were living close to each other I offered to give Ben a ride home. We had got to talking and before Sherrie had dropped me off it was at this time that I asked her out. After we went out the first time, we had continued dating until Christmas. Sherrie went home to Florida for the holiday; it was then, when we realized that we never wanted to be apart again, so we decide to get married. It was January 15 of 2002 that Ben purposed. I knew that he was going to be purposing because we had went shopping for rings together and when I knew that he had, had the ring I chose, I jokingly gave him a deadline to “give me the ring”. The funniest part of this whole story is that the day that Ben was going to purpose, he asked me out on a date and I was late for the date because I was out with roommates trying on wedding dresses. Actually, I was a little stressed by this because since I didn’t know why Sherrie was late or what she was doing I thought that maybe she was having second thoughts about the whole thing. Well, of course when Ben purposed I didn’t even think twice and said yes! We were later married on June 15, 2002.
